We’ve published a study on how cache-aware analysis can significantly accelerate data processing on computing clusters. By leveraging a modern Python-based software stack and scaling with Dask, we’ve achieved substantial speedups in development cycles, resulting in reduced resource consumption and more efficient analysis.

Future work

A newly established Task Force within ErUM-Data will be dedicated to promoting sustainability across all aspects of research. This initiative focuses on everything from hardware efficiency to software optimization, with the goal of raising awareness and fostering a culture of sustainability among all researchers.
